Christmas Temporary Vacancies - Careers Session
The Emma Bridgewater HR team are hosting a Careers Session on Weds 8th August 2018 between 09.00-11.00am (strictly) at our site at Lichfield St, Hanley.
Come along with a CV and any appropriate paperwork/licences to find out more about the 13 week temporary roles we have in our Warehouse for our peak Christmas trading period. If you have pottery, admin or other skills & experience please also come along to find out about any other vacancies we may have.

Buying Administration Assistant
Vacancy Type: Temporary contract for 6 months
We are looking to recruit a Buying Admin Assistant to work closely with our Product Team and Director. You will be responsible for entering, updating and maintaining the Home Product on our database and Netsuite systems. In addition you will be required to manage the sample ordering process for Head Office.
You will also be required to attend and write minute of the weekly Product Update meeting and you’ll create visual Top 10 displays and Range presentations.
Ideally you will have experience of working in a Buying Department and have a passion for product, branding and buying. You will also have proven Excel and organisational skills.
Although the role is predominantly based in our London Office, you may be required to travel on occasion to our sites in Bampton, Oxford and Stoke On Trent, with overnight stays when appropriate.

Health & Safety Manager
We are looking to recruit an experienced Health & Safety Manager for our Company. Although based predominantly at out factory and warehouse sites in Hanley, S-O-T, this role will cover all our UK based sites (London and Oxford areas).
This position will be responsible for the delivering of an agreed H&S strategy and to provide H&S guidance to all staff. You will also be responsible for ensuring the business meets all its H&S legislative obligations.
This role will report to the Operations Director, but will require communication with all of our business managers, insurers and solicitors as appropriate.
You will need to have proven previous experience of working in such a role and must have a NEBOSH qualification as a minimum requirement.
Contractual Hours of work are 39 hours p/w Monday-Friday, although given this is a management role you will be expected to work additional hours if required for the completion of tasks.

As part of our commitment to retaining skills and developing careers in the Ceramics Industry, we are happy to consider applications for Apprenticeships. These could be for roles in our Office, Shops, Design Studios, Warehouse or in Ceramics Manufacture. As well as receiving on the job training working closely with an experienced Mentor, we would support the achievement of a relevant and recognised qualification.
We are committed to developing links with schools, colleges and universities, and we are happy to accept invitations from students looking to undertake unpaid work experience placements. These placements may involve time spent in our Offices, Shops, Warehouse or Factory, normally over a 3 day period.
